A jiu-jitsu session with a 200-pound training partner left UFC on FX 4's Ricardo Lamas with a rib injury that largely prevented him from training three weeks before the event. While it crossed his mind to withdraw from a fight with Hatsu Hioki, he ultimately decided against it.
"I was going to stick this out no matter what," Lamas on Monday told MMAjunkie.com Radio. "It was too good an opportunity for me. I just figured I would go out there and either come out with my shield or come out on my shield."
