Fan-favorite UFC flyweight Ian McCall can finally get back to training for his next Octagon outing after being released this week by a California jail where he was incarcerated as the result of having a few outstanding warrants. The charges stemmed from McCall’s failure to complete 20 hours of community service relating to an old drug-related conviction and an unpaid ticket for driving on a suspended license.
“Free at last, free at last. Time to get back to work,” wrote McCall on Twitter.
McCall was allowed to walk after serving seventeen days of a month-long sentence.
The Details of McCall’s Arrest
The 11-3-1 McCall did not have a fight lined up when he was taken into custody. He is currently recovering from a minor knee injury but is expected to return to the ring by year’s end.
