Patrick Cote vs. Alessio Sakara booked for UFC 154 in Montreal

Veterans Patrick “The Predator” Cote and Alessio “Legionarius” Sakara will meet in a middleweight clash at UFC 154 in Montreal on November 17th. UFC Canada officials tweeted the match-up on Friday.

Cote (17-8) and Sakara (15-9) will both try to bounce back from losses in their most recent fights.

Cote, a former middleweight title challenger, returned to the promotion at UFC 148 as an injury replacement for Rich Franklin. He would see his four fight winning streak come to an end when he was outpointed by Cung Le.

Sakara will be looking for his first win since 2010 after suffering back-to-back losses. He dropped a unanimous decision to Chris Weidman at UFC Live 3 then was knocked out in the first round by Brian Stann at UFC on Fuel TV 2.

UFC 154 will take place at the Bell Centre in Montreal. UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre is expected to make his long awaited return from injury to take on interim champion Carlos Condit.
