Bart Palaszewski vs. Diego Nunes Slated For UFC on FX 5

The UFC’s return to Indianapolis has been gifted a featherweight duel between Bart Palaszewski and Diego Nunes. With both men looking to redeem themselves after recent losses, a match-up between the two strikers seems loaded with potential to say the least.

Palaszewski (36-15) is coming off of a unanimous decision loss to consensus top 5 featherweight Hatsu Hioki at UFC 144. Prior to that bout, “Bartimus” blew the doors off Tyson Griffin in his featherweight debut.

Diego Nunes (17-3) most recently suffered a contentious unanimous decision loss to Dennis Siver in the German’s first featherweight foray. The Brazilian’s UFC tenure has proven to be a roller coaster ride. The former Nova Uniao product has seen unanimous decision wins over Manny Gamburyan and Mike Thomas Brown split by losses to Kenny Florian and the aforementioned Siver.

UFC on FX 5 will place September 7 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.
