I will never eat McDonalds again

I always heard about McDonalds food being crap but I just recently learned theres shitloads of unknown chemicals inside of it.

They recently were pressured to stop using "Pink Slime" in their food. It was a chemical used to melt leftover meat entrails into usable hamburger meat.

Thats what you have been eating, pink slime infused entrails.

Who knows what kind of damage this might do to your body. Many people have reported naseau, dizziness and stomach aches from eating McDonalds food and I can back that up in the sense that I usually feel a little weird whenever I eat that shit. This explains why.

I used to always laugh at hippies talking crap about fast food but its all true, that stuff is pure garbage. Fuck McDonalds

Jimmy Jones actually trained hard for Sergio Pettis ahead of Friday's RFA 4 in Las Vegas

Bantamweight Jimmy Jones loves the feeling of accomplishment he gets at the end of the fight, when he's persevered through exhaustion and his opponent's offense.

He just doesn't like the road to that moment.

"I've been known to slack here and there," Jones recently told MMAjunkie.com Radio. "This camp, luckily, the guys have been getting on my ass about getting in the gym on time and staying there for the full practice."

Nike sponsorship next for JDS?

MMA Fighting reports that Heavyweight Champ Junior dos Santos is close to signing a sponsorship deal with Nike.  The deal could mean JDS will sport the swoosh in time for his big fight with Cain Velasquez in December.

Terms of the deal are unknown at this point for JDS but if the deal goes through it would make him the third UFC athlete represented by the Beaverton, Oregon company.

Will we see “Cigano Knows” t-shirts soon?

Wikimedia Commons

Payout Perspective:

JDS’s contract with his previous sponsor, Pretorian, has lapsed which allows the possibility for Nike to sign him to a sponsorship deal.  The signing of dos Santos would mean that Nike will have secured three of the UFC’s champions.  JDS would join Jon Jones and Anderson Silva as the only Nike-sponsored athletes on the UFC roster.  The bigger picture could mean that Nike is making a commitment to the sport of MMA and is signing main event stars to ensure its level of visibility for the brand.

ROUNDTABLE: How intrigued are you by the Junior dos Santos vs. Cain Velasquez rematch at UFC 155?

VelasquezCain_Wide.png

Considering their first bout ended in 64 seconds, how intrigued are you by the Junior dos Santos vs. Cain Velasquez rematch at UFC 155?

RICH HANSEN, MMATORCH COLUMNIST

I'm exactly as intrigued for the rematch as I was for the original, sans the whole "first fight on Fox" dealie. The were rumors going into the 2011 fight that both dos Santos and Velasquez came into the fight injured, and those rumors have been pretty well confirmed since. So if the first fight involved two damaged fighters and ended in a flash-bang KO, what did that settle in the long run exactly? Going into that fight I thought Velasquez would be maybe a 55/45 favorite, and now I'd put dos Santos as the favorite at those odds. Other than that, to me, nothing has changed. And then once you look at the phenomenal card that this rematch is headlining, and December 29 is likely to be the best MMA card of the year.

JASON AMADI, MMATORCH COLUMNIST

Junior dos Santos vs. Cain Velasquez was a damn intriguing fight last year, but it ended exactly the way I thought it would and I'm exactly not chomping at the bit to see it again. The rematch is going to be sold on the idea that Cain Velasquez was injured and basically toast before he stepped into the cage, but dos Santos as well and lamped him. After the fight dos Santos is the one that actually had surgery, while Cain's injury didn't even require it.

I'm especially uninterested in seeing this rematch because I think it will hurt Velasquez to lose decisively to the same guy twice, in about a year.

I don't know that the fight ends in 64 seconds again or even in the first round, but I think JDS is the more dynamic fighter and will put Cain down yet again. I'll certainly watch, but this isn't something I'm really excited for at this point.

BRAD WALKER, MMATORCH COLUMNIST

With the announcement that Velasquez went into the bout with a pretty bad injury it makes me wonder if thats why he opted to stand infront of JDS for their first bout. I truly do believe the second meeting will fare alot better for both the fans and the fighters and actually be a fight rather than a 64 seconds and we're done sort of outcome. Either man truly can win this match, Cain has insane cardio that is almost unfair to his opponents but JDS and his boxing can absolutely crush anyone in their path with one swing. Cain has been rocked before too by Minotauro in their bout aswell before he landed a solid KO punch. Both men have heavy hands and very equal talents in most areas, but as Dos Santos recently stated, his BJJ is incredibly well trained and he could very well have the advantage on the ground. The rematch should be significantly more interesting than the original as long as both fighters come in healthy and ready to fight.

FRANK HYDEN, MMATORCH CONTRIBUTOR

I'm definitely intrigued. I think dos Santos beats Velasquez, but I'm still very much interested in seeing the fight. There's not a lot of great heavyweights. Hell, there's not a lot of good heavyweights so anytime you get a chance to see heavyweights that are really good it's interesting.

ERIC HOBAUGH, MMATORCH CONTRIBUTOR

I am very intrigued by the second fight between these two. Both were hurt the first time they mixed it up and both fought anyway. If we get these two at 100% for UFC 155 this should be a great fight. This is a classic wrestler vs. striker and these two are the best in the division. I think that Junior will still win, but Cain could win in any number of ways.

DAN MOORE, MMATORCH UK CONTRIBUTOR

If the injury to Cain Velasquez really did impact his preparation and subsequent performance, then I expect the rematch to last longer than 64 seconds at least. I still have JDS as the clear favorite but it it should be a little closer this time. Velasquez is quality and undisputed number two in the division, but JDS is in a different league above, all on his own.

It amazes me how undervalued he remains and I wish he'd got the opportunity to beat Brock Lesnar, because as bad as it sounds, it would have done wonders for his profile more than any win over Velasquez. He's too good right now and Velasquez doesn't have that one punch knock out power, which might very well be JDS's kryptonite; that's if anyone ever gets close enough to him for us to find out.

MATT PELKEY, MMATORCH COLUMNIST

Uh...quite. It's still the two most talented and skilled heavyweight fighters on the planet. The first fight was a little fluky and if it wasn't the UFC's debut on Fox the fight probably wouldn't have taken place at all, as both fighters were far from 100%. If people liked Cormier-Barnett, just wait til you see what these two guys are capable of doing if they both bring their A games. On a scale from 1-10, I'm sitting solid at a 9 for this one.

Thiago Tavares vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov reported for UFC return to Brazil

A lightweight bout pitting Thiago Tavares against Khabib Nurmagomedov is expected to be part of the UFC’s January 19th event in Brazil. The match-up was initially reported by Brazilian website Tatame on Friday.

Tavares (17-4) has won three of his past four bouts. He last competed at UFC 142 in January where he earned a unanimous decision win over Sam Stout. Tavares, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, has notched 11 of his career wins by submission.

The undefeated Nurmagomedov (18-0) is set to make his third appearance inside the octagon. He is coming off a unanimous decision win over veteran Gleison Tibau at UFC 148 in July. The well-rounded Russian has recorded six wins by knockout and seven by submission.

The exact event name and location has yet to be officially announced by the UFC. Also rumored for the fight card are match-ups of Nik Lentz vs. Diego Nunes and Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Ben Rothwell.

Jamie Varner to Face Melvin Guillard at TUF 16 Finale

http://www.bjpenn.com/jamie-varner-t...+NEWS+BLOGS%29

Two lightweights coming off of losses will face one another at The Ultimate Fighter Finale 16 on December 15 in Las Vegas. UFC officials announced today that Jamie Varner and Melvin Guillard have verbally agreed to face one another.

Jamie Varner made his return to Zuffa a successful one at UFC 146 when he was brought in as an injury replacement for Evan Dunham against undefeated Brazilian Edson Barboza. Not too many people gave the former WEC Lightweight Champion a chance, but he wound up knocking Barboza out at 3:23 of the first round.

Varner followed that bout up with a Fight of the Night performance against Joe Lauzon at UFC on Fox 4 in Los Angeles this past August. The two went back and forth before Lauzon doubled his bonus money by catching Varner in a fight ending triangle choke midway through the third round.

At one point last year Guillard was well on his way towards title contention, but one punch by Lauzon followed be a rear naked choke ended a five fight win streak for the Blackzilian lightweight. Guillard would go on to lose to Jim Miller again by rear naked choke just three months later.

After defeating Fabricio Camoes via unanimous decision, Guillard fought good friend and training partner Donald Cerrone at UFC 150. After stunning the “Cowboy” early, Guillard got careless and wound up getting knocked out just 76 seconds into round number one. The pair did earn the Fight of the Night bonus for their efforts.

TUF Finale 16 will be headlined by a heavyweight match-up pitting bitter enemies Shane Carwin and Roy Nelson against one another. The two finalists will meet to determine the winner of the six-figure contract. Here is the full card:

Michael Bisping vs. Vitor Belfort headlines UFC's January 19 card in Brazil, full card announced

BispingMichael_Wide.png

By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief

The UFC officially announced on Saturday a 12-fight card for their return to Brazil this January, and confirmed a rumored bout between Michael Bisping and Vitor Belfort as the night's headliner.

Belfort heads back down to the middleweight division after his loss to Jon Jones in September. He took the fight on short notice, as the UFC needed a new opponent for Jones after Dan Henderson got injured. Belfort nearly pulled off a first round submission, but was ultimately submitted himself in the fourth round.

Bisping hopes another win will finally put him in line for a title fight that has eluded him in his long UFC career. He picked up perhaps his most impressive win in September, defeating Brian Stann by decision after putting forth a very good performance, and a win over Belfort could be huge in getting him a title fight.

The UFC confirmed several reported fights for the card, as well as announcing the rest of the field. The event doesn't yet have a host city or venue, and broadcast plans haven't yet been revealed, but it's expected to take place on FX with the prelims on Fuel. The full 12-fight card is below:

Main Card

Vitor Belfort vs. Michael Bisping
C.B. Dollaway vs. Daniel Sarafian
Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Ben Rothwell
Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Thiago Tavares

Preliminary Card

Godofredo Castro vs. Milton Vieira
Andrew Craig vs. Ronny Markes
Nik Lentz vs. Diego Nunes
Edson Barboza vs. Justin Salas
Michael Kuiper vs. Thiago Perpetuo
Yuri Alcantara vs. George Roop
Roger Hollett vs. Wagner Prado
Francisco Trinaldo vs. C.J. Keith

Two years after retirement, Frank Shamrock is a half-pound shy of the middleweight division in which he once fought.

A pound-and-a-half of that bulk is white wine and beer, he told MMAjunkie.com Radio.

Shamrock calls this state "fat and happy," though he'll most likely never resemble the former to the outside world. But his retirement came with another realization: He needed to tell his story.

An observation i need to throw out there

I have to say some of the dumbest things i see these days is on facebook. In particular its those "like these photos for whatever reason, ignore if you dont care" pictures. I think people that actually click like on those photos are worse then the ppl that ignore them because they actually believe that clicking like actually does something. IT DOESN'T. How about you actually go out and do something then thinking your self righteous by clicking something on a social media site.

Hulk Hogan On WWE.com, How Old Is Paul Heyman?, More

– The official WWE website has ranked Hulk Hogan turning his back on millions of Hulkamaniacs to join Scott Hall and Kevin Nash in forming one of the most infamous groups in history, the New World Order, as No. 1 in their “List This: Legends of the Fall.”

– Former WWE talent Paul Heyman turns 46 years old today.

– Rosa Mendes, who has not appeared on WWE programming since SummerSlam, posted her first message on Twitter since August 20 by ranting about fellow SmackDown Diva A.J. The three-year veteran doesn’t feel the Union City native “looks like a WWE Diva.”

She wrote, “But what one thing I don’t miss is looking at rookies that call themselves divas when they can’t get a hold of some proactive to clear their Awful skin up, and start dressing like actual Divas instead of shopping at consignment stores in the kid section. You want to be a Diva? Look like one AJ. You look like a cashier that works at my local grocery store.

Melvin Guillard vs. Jamie Varner added to The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale in December

MMATorch_Generic_Logo_wide_20.jpg

UFC lightweights Melvin Guillard and Jamie Varner each suffered decisive and disappointing losses in their last bouts, but one of them will bounce back on Dec. 15. The UFC announced on Thursday that the two will square off on The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale event in Las Vegas.

Guillard suffered a knockout loss against former training partner Donald Cerrone at UFC 150 in Denver, a loss that came shortly after he nearly scored a knockout win of his own in the first round. The loss was his third in his last four bouts, a poor stretch after posting five straight wins in the previous five.

For Varner, he returned to the UFC with an upset win over Edson Barboza earlier this year, then took on Joe Lauzon at UFC on Fox 4 in August. The fight was a "Fight of the Year" candidate, with Varner well on his way to a victory before Lauzon snatched a come-from-behind submission win in the third and final round.

In addition to that fight, the UFC announced that TUF: Live contestants Mike Rio and John Cofer will square off on the card.

Penick's Analysis: This is a fight where both fighters are likely to keep their spot regardless of consecutive losses, and that's because it should be a fantastic matchup. Varner's past history with Cerrone from the WEC makes him an appealing option for Guillard, and the exciting fights both fighters are capable of putting together make this just an excellent matchup for FX.

Bellator CEO says hardcore fans still associate MMA with Spike TV

Bjorn Rebney said he has Excel spreadsheets at the ready if and when ex-champ Eddie Alvarez receives an offer from the UFC. After plugging in the numbers, deciding whether Alvarez stays or leaves Bellator will come down to math.

Cost/benefit analyses are a constant for the Bellator CEO, who told MMAjunkie.com that hard data is the reason the tournament-based promotion is now widely considered the No. 2 player in the MMA space.

"We haven't based decisions based on wild expectations or wild conjecture," Rebney said. "We've made them based on real numbers."

Alex Caceres - Express Yourself

UFC bantamweight Alex Caceres“Awakening is natural, delusion is not.” - Buddha

Not every interview is the same, even if in general the questions are. It truly depends on who is answering them, and when it is UFC bantamweight Alex Caceres, one should prepare to have their mind blown away. If asked about his fight, he will talk about his fight. When asked about training, he’ll talk about training. When he is questioned about his future and/or his goals, Caceres will answer with an unflinching passion and a poetic world view, which he hopes to instill in all the people who listen. And if requested for a final thought, “Bruce Leeroy” quotes Siddhartha.

“I think we're infinite beings,” opines Caceres. “We have to stay limitless. As long as we can keep moving in this vessel that houses our spiritual function that we should always be moving forward. We have this misconception that we are humans with spirits, but it's the other way around - we're just spiritual beings having a human experience. Everyone thinks this is it, that this is the final frontier, but really anything is possible and we can really bring things out of nothing and make them a reality. A good example I use is the Wright Brothers. No one had ever saw what a plane was, but they had seen it inside their heads and they brought it out of their heads and manifested it physically into this physical realm that we see today. It started as meta-physical and became physical. It started as unreal and became real. They saw it in a dream and made it reality. I think we all have that capability and that truly shows our infinite power. Even though I set up a goal miles down the line, eventually, if I reach that goal I will probably set up another one miles down the line just because. We have to set goals that we may never reach, that are infinite, and we need to try anyway. That's the beauty of it. We don't have enough time and that's what makes everything that much more beautiful. We'll never get today again; we'll never have today again ever.”

At 24 years old, the born and bred Miami, Floridian is currently experiencing a spiritual awakening the likes one could have never imagined for the once almost comically afro-ed cast member of The Ultimate Fighter season 12. The transformation started roughly a year ago with Caceres’ diet, and soon the age-old idea of “you are what you eat” had taken root into the young fighter’s already positive outlook.

“By bettering myself, I can better the situation around me. It was just coming to a realization that we're all in this together and, hopefully, if we're all involved we can rise up as one.”

It began with watching documentaries, reading books, and whatever else Caceres could devour with his mind on the subject of food. “One of the movies that had a big impact on me, on my diet, was ‘Forks Over Knives’,” tells Caceres of the Lee Fulkerson film, which promotes that most, if not all, degenerative disease can be linked to animal-based and processed foods. “It really showed us that most of the food we're eating in this Westernized diet is actually the opposite of what we think it is and it is very detrimental to our health. I started cutting dairy, lactose, processed foods, and processed meat out of my diet. I'm not completely a vegan.”

From there, the featherweight began shedding pounds and was walking around at 145 pounds, so the next stop was cutting to 135. The change has had an immense impact on him both physiologically and psychologically, and also economically. Since the move to bantamweight, Caceres is 2-1 inside the Octagon with an overall record of 7-5. In his first outing in the new division, he nabbed a unanimous decision victory over Cole Escovedo at UFC on FOX last November. Following that, Caceres had an odd split decision loss against Edwin Figueroa, but rebounded with his best performance yet in a “Submission of the Night” win over WEC veteran Damacio Page in July.

“With the knowledge I'm gaining now, I'm able to show people what I'm really about,” says Caceres. “I am a well-rounded fighter, I belong in the UFC, and with every fight I'm going to be able to show my skill level that I'm the better man in the cage at that moment on that day during those 15 minutes. If anything, it makes me want to train harder. Now, I do have this excess amount of energy that I can't seem to spend all the time. I get into the gym and I'm not satisfied until I'm crawling out of the cage. One of the most profound things this diet gave me is the clarity of thought. I actually know what I want out of this and where I want to be at the end of this. It feels good.”

The bout against Page highlighted many of Caceres’ weapons, from his size and length to his savvy ground game and to his creativity standing. The first round was Page on top and Caceres on bottom, but the second round saw a vicious knee transitioned into a fight ending triangle choke that put the rest of the division on notice. “It was actually that knee to the chest that I threw that weakened him for the triangle,” divulges Caceres. “I felt my knee go straight into his solar plexus and I heard him grunt really loud when I hit him. He didn't give much resistance when I threw on that triangle, so I knew that body shot really hurt him.”

Up next for Caceres is a trip to the Far East in a showdown with promotional newcomer Kyung Ho Kang at UFC on FUEL TV in Macao, China. Well before “Bruce Leeroy” submitted Page, behind-the-scenes Caceres had been bugging UFC matchmaker Sean Shelby to be put on the China card to perform in front of his idol Bruce Lee’s homeland. The W punched his ticket to Macao and lined Caceres up to tangle with submission ace Kang. The South Korean “Typhoon” is 11-6, on a three fight win streak, and, most recently, won a bantamweight tournament / title for the Korean based Road Fighting Championships.

“He looks like a very well-rounded, solid opponent,” admits Caceres. “Nothing that I haven't seen before, but he looks like he has a solid ground game with most of his fights being won by submission, eight out of 11. He seems to be a tough opponent. I think we'll be a very great matchup out there. Win or lose, I'm ready to give it my all out there and I hope he is ready to do the same.”

Besides the changes in diet and division, Caceres has been training with a different team at the MMA Lab in Glendale, Arizona. Under the watchful eye of head coach and Royce Gracie Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt John Crouch, he is getting better by battling the UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson. Caceres reveals a lot of the focus is on filling in the perceived holes in his wrestling, but believes he is getting stronger everyday in all areas. As with all UFC fighters, Caceres’ goal is to wear gold around his waist, and rubbing shoulders with a current champ like Henderson is making that possibility closer to a reality.

“Training alongside him and sparring with him boosts my confidence,” asserts Caceres. “I’m seeing him train and training together with him, and seeing that the work ethic is not far off and that the training methods are not far off and our lifestyles are not far off. If I can hang with this champion that is two weight classes above me, then I don't think anyone at 135 can touch me. It definitely makes that dream a lot more tangible, and when I reach up I can feel something and one day I'm going to grab it.”

But Caceres is quick to correct that a belt is not his endgame. “I'm a martial artist at heart and I will do that forever, but fighting I honestly believe and know it is for the young,” maintains Caceres, who is still a year away from a quarter century with presumably a decade at least left in him as a quality mixed martial artist, but he has more on his mind than titles. “I know me holding the belt and being champion might and very well may become, but it is not the top of the mountain for me. I feel this is a stepping stone to launch myself toward my true realization of my dreams and purposes in life. Honestly, I see my ultimate goals being some sort of humanitarian where I can use the knowledge and the wisdom that I have come across through my evolution of life to help other people come up to a higher plane as well.”

While many may believe those are too lofty or unrealistic goals for a fighter, then maybe those people should investigate Muhammad Ali or Helio Gracie and how their lives caused countless ripples in our sea of humanity. If Caceres’ mission is to help the world, then good luck to him with no sarcasm or cynicism needed. He is setting himself upon the toughest and most difficult to navigate roads, and is hoping to lead by example for others to follow. Simply, Caceres believes he can be better, that we all can be better, and he’ll pursue that dream with the same fervor he shows in his struggles inside the cage.

“I feel we all have to evolve to help humankind push the sky off,” declares Caceres. “The more I think about it the I more I realize, we are all stuck on this rock sailing through this cosmic ocean and if anything threatens us it threatens our entire race and there is no way we can fight back against it. I think we really need to push our horizons to spread ourselves across this vast universe. We are just a speck in the whole scheme of things and we're worried about a lot of materialistic ideals and appearances and what not, and what we should be worried about are the welfare of our children and our children's children. We're so stuck in the past and so stuck in this dream-like state they have us in. It's weird, reality TV becomes reality and we have to live vicariously through other people's lives when our own lives are just as exciting if we want them to be. Everybody looks at me and they're like he's a lucky kid with nothing to play with; he's just a lucky person that made it. But it’s not true. Everyone has this ability and drive and everybody has the capabilities to do it. I was just a regular person on the streets before I became any of this. I know that I had to bite down and get some grit in me to do it, and it wasn't easy because nothing comes easy. We definitely have the power to be greater than ourselves every day. That's my main goal in life and my challenge is to always challenge myself to be better than I am today tomorrow. I know I have this capability and I know we all have this capability. We just have to wake up and realize that not just one person is special and has talent. You just have to put in the work to make it realized.”

On November 10th at the CotaiArena in Macau, China, a bantamweight collision between Kang and Caceres will look to entertain and spark a fire in this burgeoning MMA market. For the Chinese fans, Caceres makes it known that he is committed to pushing himself beyond his limits for the W, but if he falls short, it will only be because Kang has exceeded his potential as well.

“I always expect to perform extremely well,” affirms Caceres. “I will go out there and express myself. I will express this art to its fullest and I will try and put everything out there. I will put that much effort into it. Win or lose. You can expect me to win or you can expect me to lose, but if I lose it will not be because I got tired or did not put enough effort into it. It will only be because that person was truly better than me that day, and only for that day. I will always come back stronger and better. What the fans can expect is one hell of a fight.”

And if “Bruce Leeroy” does win, Jon Anik and Kenny Florian can expect one helluva post-fight interview.

After Sonnen, UFC champ Jones wants Henderson and Gustafsson

Jon Jones has been one of the busiest champions in UFC history.

And if he does everything he wants to before a likely move up to heavyweight next year, the light-heavyweight titleholder isn't likely to get much downtime.

While potential super fights and a Chael Sonnen title fight are on the horizon, Jones admits he'd still like to fight 205-pounders Dan Henderson and Alexander Gustafsson.
