MONTREAL - Alessio Sakara had a remarkable turnaround spoiled on Saturday night. The Italian was rocked, and rocked hard, by Canadian fan favorite Patrick Cote. But he survived, landed several big elbows that put Cote down and pounded his way to what he thought was a quick TKO victory.
But when four or five of his finishing shots on the ground were to the back of the head, referee Dan Miragliotta instead disqualified Sakara.
