Edwards vs. Stephens Back On for Dec. 8

After lightweight prospect John Cholish suffered a groin injury in training and was forced out of his December 8th bout against Yves Edwards, veteran 155-pounder Jeremy Stephens stepped up to fill in for Cholish in Seattle, thus getting another chance to face Edwards after their October bout in Minneapolis was scrapped on bout day.

Caraway Out, More Card Reshuffling in Seattle updated November 21
Bantamweight Mike Easton now has his third opponent for the December 8th event in Seattle. Bryan Caraway must withdraw from the bout due to injury; moving into that spot will be Raphael Assuncao. Both fighters have verbally agreed to the bout. Caraway had been tapped last month to replace the injured TJ Dillashaw.

Phan Replaces Injured Yagin Against Siver on Dec. 8 updated October 30
Following his August win over Cole Miller, veteran featherweight Nam Phan will return to the Octagon in Seattle on December 8 when he replaces the injured Eddie Yagin against Germany's Dennis Siver.

Caraway in for Dillashaw in Seattle updated October 30
With TJ Dillashaw injured, his Washington's own Bryan Caraway is stepping up. Caraway, a former teammate and fellow TUF 14 castmate of Dillashaw, will face the surging Mike Easton. Both fighters have verbally agreed to the Seattle bout.

Yves Edwards Gets Seattle Bout, Chiesa Gets New Opponent updated October 26
Two new lightweight bouts have been added to the UFC on FOX fight card taking place in Seattle December 8.

An injury has forced Rafaello Oliveira out of his planned bout, so TUF season winner and Washington state's Michael Chiesa has verbally agreed to take on Marcus LeVesseur, who's coming off a UFC on FX 5 win in his own hometown of Minneapolis.

Also at lightweight, dynamic striker Yves Edwards and submission specialist John Cholish will meet. Edwards was recently left all dressed up with no one to fight when he suited up for his planned UFC on FX 5 bout against Jeremy Stephens, who was unable to compete due to legal troubles.

Easton vs. Dillashaw heading to Seattle updated October 20
Rising bantamweight stars Mike "The Hulk" Easton and TJ Dillashaw will attempt to keep moving up the 135-pound ladder on Saturday, December 8th, as they collide in a Seattle bout verbally agreed to by both fighters.

Easton is currently riding an eight fight winning streak that includes three wins in the Octagon, and Dillashaw is coming off back to back victories over Walel Watson and Vaughan Lee.

TUF Winner Gets First Assignment; Siver-Yagin Rebooked

Verbal agreements are in for a trio of intriguing fights in the lighter weight classes for the Seattle UFC on FOX fight card.

The featherweight match-up between Dennis Siver and Eddie Yagin -- the last orphaned UFC 151 bout to be rescheduled -- now has a new home on the FOX 5 card taking place this December.

At lightweight, Ultimate Fighter Live winner Michael "Maverick" Chiesa will face Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Rafaello "Tractor" Oliveira in Chiesa's home state of Washington. Another Washington state fighter, John Albert, will face longtime veteran Scott Jorgensen in a bantamweight clash on that same night.

Surefire Fireworks Added to FOX Fight Card

UFC on FOX 5's stacked card has added even more star power, with heavyweight power punchers Lavar "Big" Johnson and Brendan "The Hybrid" Schaub verbally agreeing to fight December 8 in Seattle, Washington.

Verbals are also in for two of the most exciting fighters in the welterweight division to meet as Matt "The Immortal" Brown takes on Mike "Quick" Swick at that event.

In addition, two lightweight bouts originally booked for the cancelled UFC 151 have been bumped to the Seattle date: Daron Cruickshank vs. Henry Martinez and Tim Means vs. Abel Trujillo.

UFC on FOX 5 Location, Lightweight Bout Announced

The December UFC on FOX 5 event announced last week, which is set to feature a lightweight title fight between champion Benson Henderson and Nate Diaz, now has a confirmed venue. The December 8 televised event will take place December 8 at Seattle's Key Arena.

The news was first reported on FUEL TV's UFC Tonight.

Henderson vs. Diaz to Headline UFC on FOX event in December updated August 15
December 8th's UFC on FOX event is shaping up to possibly be the best yet, as a lightweight championship bout between Benson Henderson and Nate Diaz headlines, supported by a light heavyweight showdown between Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and Alexander Gustafsson, and the rescheduled welterweight bout between BJ Penn and Rory MacDonald.

More details on this event, including site, ticket on-sale date, and the fourth FOX televised bout, will be announced shortly.
