Brad Pickett made a delayed debut in the UFC following the end of World Extreme Cagefighting, and in that debut he was defeated handily by the man who would become Interim Bantamweight Champion, Renan Barao. However, Pickett has since reminded fans just why he was considered a top flight bantamweight in his two Octagon appearances since then.

Pickett first bounced back in April, submitting Damacio Page at UFC on Fuel 2 in Sweden in a bout that was his second straight "Fight of the Night." He followed that up on Saturday in front of a home country crowd, knocking Yves Jabouin out cold in the first round at UFC on Fuel 5 in Nottingham, England.

The bout played out as a back and forth striking affair for the first few minutes, with Jabouin trying to keep Pickett at bay as the Brit stalked. They exchanged strikes on several occasions, but it was Pickett who brought an end to things with a vicious uppercut late in the round. A couple more strikes followed, but it was all over from the uppercut to give him his first win from strikes since 2008.

Pickett is now 3-2 over his last five fights under the Zuffa banner. For Jabouin, the vicious loss marked his first in four fights in the bantamweight division.
