As the dust settles on the aftermath of the UFC 151 cancellation, the organization is tearing through the scrapped scraps and giving the fighters a handful of new assignments. The latest group of competitors receiving a new date/location are none other than Jeff Hougland (10-5), Takeya Mizugaki (15-7-2), John Lineker (19-6), and Yasuhiro Urushitani (19-5-6), as all four men will now be fighting on November 10 when the UFC heads overseas for their first show in China.
Hougland and former WEC contender Mizugaki were set to fight on the undercard of UFC 151 before the proverbial poo hit the fan. Hougland recently had a nine-fight winning streak snapped by Yves Jabouin, while Mizugaki has alternated between success and failure in his last ten tilts.
Meanwhile, the flyweight fight between Linekar-Urushitani was supposed to take place on the main card of the since axed event. Urushitani made his divisional debut in the UFC’s but lost the fight by TKO in the second round. Likewise, Lineker was submitted in his 125-pound unveiling (though the fight was technically a catchweight bout since Lineker missed weight).
