It looks like bantamweight star Miguel Torres officially has an opponent for his first fight outside of the UFC/WEC since 2007, as World Series of Fighting officials have announced the former WEC champion will face Marlon Moraes at the organization’s inaugural event on November 3. He will enter the bout with nearly 4X his opponent’s experience but lacking Moraes’ current momentum.
The WSOF 1 card is set to feature a slew of stand-outs including the likes of Gerald Harris, Gesias Cavalcante, and Andrei Arlovski.
The 40-5 Torres is coming off a knockout loss to Michael McDonald that in part led to his UFC release. Prior to the bout Torres had won three of four fights including success against Nick Pace and Antonio Banuelos but fell out of favor based on some personal behavior.

Meanwhile, Moraes holds an overall record of 8-4-1 but has won his last two tilts with a sub-minute knockout in his most recent effort.
