The Ultimate Fighting Championship has confirmed two additional bouts for their sixth event on FOX television. Pascal “Panzer” Krauss will square off against Mike Stumpf in a welterweight bout while middleweight Magnus “Jycken” Cedenblad battles Rafael “Sapo” Natal.
UFC on FOX 6 will be held at United Center in Chicago, Illinois on January 26, 2013. UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson will put his title on the line against John Dodson in the main event of the fight card.
Krauss (10-1) saw his ten fight winning streak come to an end with a unanimous decision loss to John Hathaway at UFC on FOX 3 in May. He was scheduled to compete at UFC on Fuel TV 5 in September but had to withdraw following a training injury. In his promotional debut Krauss outpointed Mark Scanlon at UFC 122 in 2010. Stumpf (11-3) will be making his second appearance inside the octagon. He suffered a first round submission loss to T.J. Waldburger at UFC Fight Night 25. Stumpf, a Team Curran fighter, has recorded seven of his career wins by submission.
Natal (14-4-1) and Cedenblad (10-4) will both be looking to bounce back after setbacks in the most recent bouts. Natal suffered a second round head-kick knockout to Andrew Craig at UFC on FUEL TV 4. Prior to the loss, Natal had recorded consecutive wins over Michael Kuiper and Paul Bradley. In Cedenblad’s promotional debut he would be submitted by Francis Carmont at UFC on Fuel TV 2. Cedenblad has finished nine of his opponents with six victories coming by knockout.
