What a difference a day makes. The ever-evolving Strikeforce: Champions fight card has double since yesterday with the announcement of four additional bouts on Thursday.
The following bouts will join the action at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City on January 12th.
- Pat Healy vs. Jorge Masvidal
- Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza vs. Lorenz Larkin
- Tim Kennedy vs. Tevor Smith
- Roger Gracie vs. Anthony Smith
Healy was scheduled to take on lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez and Larkin was expected to face middleweight champion Luke Rockhold. However, those bouts were scrapped after Melendez and Rockhold were sidelined by injuries during training. In the lone champion remaining on the card is welterweight title holder Nate Marquardt who will take on Tarec Saffiedine.
The main card for Strikeforce: Champions will be televised live on Showtime at 10:00pm ET.
