Jens Pulver, Kevin Belingon, Masakatsu Ueda and Thanh Vu have all made it to the semis of the ONE FC Bantamweight GP. The match ups have been set, and they're competing at ONE FC 8 in April.
With Thanh Vu (3-1) quickly dispatching of his ONE FC 7 opponent this past weekend, the Vietnamese prospect has advanced to claim the fourth and final semi-final slot on the ONE FC Bantamweight Grand Prix. Other talented bantamweights such as Kevin Belingon (10-2), Jens Pulver (27-17-1) and Masakatsu Ueda (16-2-2) have qualified earlier, and on Tuesday morning, officials have confirmed the match ups to BloodyElbow.com.
The semis will be hosted on ONE Fighting Championship's 8th event this April. It will be Vu taking on the Team Lakay product in Belingon, and on the other side of the bracket, former Shooto champ Ueda will be going against the UFC legend in Pulver.
The winner of both bouts will meet on a later date to crown the promotion's first Bantamweight Grand Prix Champ.
Pulver is coming off a technical decision win over Chinese prospect, Zhao Ya Fei, in a fight that was forced to go to the judges cards following a nasty groin shot that left the former UFC champ unable to continue. Belingon on the other hand, is fresh off a very impressive KO win over Scouting Report inductee, Yusup Saadulaev, while Ueda advanced by defeating Korea's Min Jung Song.
